some photos I took today of my families dogs! I was trying to practice taking pictures with subjects in motion ((since I’m not terribly good at it and mostly rely on luck. Zim ((the redhaired corgi)) was the most cooperative as he is the most used to the camera ((mom takes pictures with him all the time)). I tried to get at least one good shot with all the other dogs, though with my dog Nico ((the little chihuahua mix that has tan fur)), it was nigh impossible due to how much he moved around LOL
I’ll put their names and breeds in the captions for the images :D
have some more xan ((can you tell I like arting him LOL)), this time an underwear shot so I have refs of his body hair and scar patterns, and another with the base for his armor, basically what goes underneath it :D
here is a WIP design for Xan’s Armor design! I’ve decided to move back towards the nordic carved armor instead of the Ebony, I feel like he probably leans towards more Nord-ish armor, specially with how I am characterizing him in game. ((still trying to add in some dunmer elements though, its gonna be interesting)) this is no where near his final design, but I’m getting much closer to what I want for him :D
I did not get as much character jamming as I wanted to in, but I did get a inspiration board created and arranged ((that was more work then I thought, but totally worth it)) and these body type studies down for Xan :D I’m not sure they’re as exaggerated as I want yet, but I am definitely heading in the right direction.
Hey there guys, long time no upload. I am really bad at keeping up on trying to upload daily.
I’m currently really dissatisfied with a lot of stuff with my art. it was kinda triggered by my own airheadedness. I accidentally overwrote the Xantos painting while trying to fix some things on it, so it no longer exists in its painted form. so I am taking this opportunity of dissatisfaction to experiment.
and experiment I have.
last night, after hitting my little artistic self against a metaphorical wall so to speak, I broke through how to sketch in more stylized anatomy without the awkwardness I usually have. this stylized approach, which broke the figures into easier to manage shapes has allowed me to experiment with body types I was having severe issue with before.
this seemingly has also corrected my bad habit of huge ass long as hell legs. while these doodles might be simplistic, they opened the door to a lot more dynamic and varied figures for me :D
